    1. Maybe I m reading these wrong, but I think Cari Hislop writes her books with her tongue firmly in her cheek If you read this as a serious romance, it s not very good, but I read it as a farce, a light hearted jab at historical romance conventions I ve read four of her books and every one of them is similar They are fast reads, are laugh out loud funny, and will keep you smiling and sighing throughout There were a few grammar and spelling errors, but not too many In the spirit of the story, I wou [...]

    2. Charming tale filled with lighthearted fun and a sweet romance.Anyone looking for serious or highly thought provoking regency romance should look somewhere else, but if you are like me and enjoy a sweet and hilarious romance you should really check this out I highly enjoyed the comical way these two interacted with each other and even found much of Adam s sometimes crazy ideas endearing Eve is silly and in my opinion fun and very sweet I liked the crazy antics she did in order to try and see Ada [...]

    3. Okay book Seemed to be of a contemporary in dialog than historical It was a cute read and there was only sexual tension, no acutal scenes This kisses were good I like the way the H h talked about their hearts as seperate people up to a point I think they began to overdue the concept Also, towards the end, there seemed to be the OTT of the real conflict between them, his deformity and her insecurities for being purchased as a bride They both should have gotten over it a little sooner Over all a [...]

    4. Don t you love farce If the answer is no just skip over this book This is a somewhat aggressive beauty tangling with a somewhat over sensitive beast It made me laugh out loud than once I m a sucker for a good laugh Between four and five stars.

    5. Liked the beginning but the sappiness of the characters and the nonstop of cheesy lines killed it for me.
