    1. Picked this old Time Life book 1981 revised edition up at a thrift store Got than my money s worth A great book that summarizes all things photography up till 1980, prior to digital cameras going mainstream Inclues some still relevant tips on taking photos f stop, aperture, lenses, etc , some famous and not so famous black white and color photos 1893 through 1978 , specialty cameras spy, giant, microscope, etc , comparisons of painting vs photography, some important inventors and pioneers, diag [...]

    2. This book was published in 1970 and it is interesting that much of the material in the text is little different than what you read in the current photography how to books This is foundational in that sense and it offers a great history of photography as well as the workings of the camera At one time I think I had all 10 in the series but this was the only one that did not get damaged A book I will keep on my shelves for sure.

    3. Published in 1971, this series is a comprehensive overview of many aspects of photography Only the titles specific to equipment The Camera Light and Film and The Print are a bit outdated, but not completely for the same principles still apply such as shutter speed, depth of field, etc By far, a great series for any would be serious photographer even today.
