    1. found this at a used bookstore closing sale, as part of a deal where you could fill a bag with books for super cheap i sort of just put it in my bag to help fill it up, and wasn t expecting much from it.published in 1979, revenge of the dolls is a creepy little children s tale about a girl who goes with her mother and sister to visit an old aunt who is a bit loony she stares into the fireplace all day and talks to her many dolls that surround her she made them all, and some have arms that are lo [...]

    2. Atmosphere Carol Beach York got it right, It begins at Christmas with Alice and her sister helping their father decorate the tree Her mother is opening Christmas cards Written on the back of one from Cousin Grace is an invitation to stay with her and Aunt Sarah earlier then summer Alice has a presentiment of something Aunt Sarah was mad, to begin with.York sets her story in a rambling Victorian house with overflowing chests of clothes in the attic and brass jardinieres in the parlor Meek Cousin [...]

    3. I remember this book being REALLY creepy I always thought dolls were creepy, but these take the cake They re all mishapen and poorly constructed with glittering button eyes there are also illustrations just check out the one on the cover and apparently, these dolls will try to kill you, especially if you throw one of them into a fire Definitely check this one out if you like creepy stories.

    4. Creepy Nasty faced vengeful dolls with lopsided painted faces hunting children for perceived slights A wicked old crone Strange, uncomfortable grown ups Very atmospheric Short but memorable Would make a great campfire story.

    5. There s no plot until the last page, and frankly this whole story could have been shortened by about 75 pages where nothing happened.

    6. Very creepy, atmospheric little tale, with a lot going on in it than meets the eye I love running across forgotten little gems like this You can t find books like this any today.

    7. I thought it had promise Starts out okay, then builds up to scare you, and then A waste of time to read this one, even though it was really short.

    8. It felt like there was a lot of missed potential with the plot But it might not be bad for a child in elementary school, not too scary.
