    1. The third installment in Paul B Spence s Awakening series is the smoothest ride yet in terms of writing and structure It builds on everything that has come before in The Remnant and The Fallen and kicks it up a notch Several notches, actually In my review of the preceding novel, I mentioned that it was a cross between Zelazney s Amber novels, the movie Event Horizon and the Honor Harrington books.I didn t know the half of itIf anything, that observation is true in The Madness Engine, as Spence [...]

    2. Absolutely perfect 3rd volume to this action packed, and increasingly intriguing science fiction Loved the building of the characters and how they meshed through the plot lines Couldn t stop reading but had to to sometimes to gasp for air.Cannot wait for the next one, which I am sure is coming day Tebrey is one hell of a main character, well done to Paul.

    3. An enjoyable read There s still a lot of potential in this series, but in the third entry, it feels like the storylines are getting too convoluted and the focus too diffuse the problem with having too many good ideas and trying to include them all Typos and editing issues seemed of a problem in my Kindle edition of this entry than they were in the previous two This one also seems to be shifting the series to a episodic format, without the the satisfying, clear wrap up to the individual story t [...]

    4. Book 1 was good, then it wasn t my styleMore of a quick series review, especially after I started skimming I liked book 1 and never thought the series was going to be doc smith soap opera But that s what happened.I thought I was getting mil sci fi This isn t my cup of tea I can take some psion ability as humans develop but this was too far out And the explicit sex, with other goofy stuff I ll pass And maybe I just don t get it.
