    1. Review also found at theparanormalpaladin.wordpresThis book was better than book two in my view When I first started it, I was so happy to be back in this world I was likeI think what bugged me the most about book two was the love triangle I like Batten as a character, but not with Marnie or in Marnie s head It drove me crazy and made me ragey Well, Batten is hardly in this Yay for me Unfortunately, it sounds like a romance with him has been set up for the future, which should make for tons of a [...]

    2. Two words cock whisperer Surprisingly, since this IS Marnie s world, it s not what you think Entering the world of Marnie Baranuik is a guaranteed good time Each time I finish a book in this series, I ask myself how Aalto will top this one because they are just that good And genius that AJ Aalto is, she manages to make each new book better than the previous, which is a tough beast to master Well, call her the beast masterer, because she does it every time In this installment, Marnie finds hersel [...]

    3. I liked this book than book II, notably because of the lack of the ever annoying LOVE TRIANGLE that authors seem to think they need to make a compelling story You don t Go ahead and stick that notion on the Fuck That train to Nopesville Marnie is investigating, on location So there is none of that pesky third wheel in this one Also, let me introduce Patrick Longshanks Shenk, one of the better characters from this series His scent, as Marnie Baranuiked in the below quote You smell just like I im [...]

    4. Cucknugget Douchetarp Fucksack Fanny ramming, bitch sucking, chunkass, jizz flapping shitdong There No, wait Twatwaffle And cocksplurt Some people like demure girls, the well mannered wallflowers, those who blend into the background But I, like lord Guy Harrick Dreppenfeld, find Marnie and her pottymouth so much interesting Not only is her life a non stop cavalcade of bones and boners, she has even to offer Like slipper humping bat brothers, a Revenant who has cut in half by a cuckold husband, [...]

    5. If there is one thing I love, it s A.J Aalto s Marnie Baranuik files They re funny, creepy, and all around awesome Very few books manage to make me laugh out loud and sniffle with emotion all in one go, but Last Impressions certainly did it.When I realized Marnie was headed home, I held my breath, dreading pages of awful family drama Really, I shouldn t have worried There were definitely a few scenes with Marnie s family, but they weren t gratuitous or drawn out Marnie was there to help find a m [...]

    6. 4.5, another great readMs Aalto is consistent if nothing else I find that I could cut and paste my review of this series previous two books here and have them make perfect sense and be wholly accurate But what fun would that be The points may be the same, but I ll make them again.I love Marnie Marnie s foul mouth, Marnie s lust crazed mind, Marnie s sarcasm, Marnie s need to do the right thing, Marnie s selfish idiosyncrasies, Marnie s ability to always come out on top, Marnie s amazing ability [...]

    7. I really enjoyed this story Now we get to meet ghosts, and it s nice to see a UF that doesn t solely rely on weres and vamps and witches This has some real shivers in it, and the word building is amazing I ve never been in snow, but I could feel that biting cold It was an excellent read Also, interestingly, not everyone is safe in these stories where you think the author is introducing a new character that might stay maybe not Loved Schenk, he was a perfect sidekick for Marnie I hope we see of [...]

    8. Last Impressions is the third installment in the Marnie Baranuik Files series and it s a winner just as the first and second installments are.Aalto s writing voice is humorous, sassy, witty and descriptive and yeah, there s quite a bit of wonderfully colorful profanity sprinkled throughout most of which is provided by Marnie, the heroine She can turn a cuss phrase like nobody s business and it never fails to crack me up.Within the pages of Last Impressions, you ll be treated to characters such a [...]

    9. AWESOME I m trying not to gush how much I loved this one The perfect blend of well, everything Other reviewers have summed it up nicely and better than I can Just want to add my highest praise to the pile I LOVED IT The implications are intriguing so I can t wait to read the next, and hopefully get a big dose of Kill Notch with Marnie Harry as they eek out their future Awesome stuff

    10. I would read this author s grocery list Honestly I love this series it is in competition with my love for the fever series and the style of writing is phenomenal I love the characters I love my bad ass heroine I love the witty conversations I love the fact that I have no clue what is going to happen I just love this series to a disgusting degree and I m not sorry about it I got to read the series from net galley, but I would have paid SO MUCH to have read them if I hadn t.

    11. I enjoyed this latest volume in the antics of Marnie Baranuik, one unusual paranormal investigator I did miss having interactions between Marnie and Harry and Marnie and Batten, but I really liked Schenk He s a good foil for Marnie, and they formed a genuine bond of friendship Fans of this series should enjoy it Reviewed for Bitten by Books bittenbybooks.

    12. My favorite of the series, so far Marnie and her creative cursing always entertain me I loved Schenk and didn t miss Batten much Harry is always a delight

    13. I can t even describe how much I love Marnie Baranuik as a character, and how enamoured of this series I am becoming The ongoing Paranormal storyline is fascinating, with a ton of laugh out loud humour peppered throughout.

    14. Marnie goes homeAnd what a homecoming it is If you haven t read the other two books, i think it s ok but you re missing some good stuff She is just as sassy and the things she says I loved every minute of her adventure

    15. Well well well What a ride sic this book was I was thrilled to receive the much awaited 3rd instalment in the Marnie Baranuik Files to review prior to its launch on the 13th June Aalto has once again taken the series to another level, demonstrating such an awesome skill in penmanship that it took me nearly half the book to realise that THIS Marnie was growing up, not elegantly, not very wisely and certainly not quietly but definitely maturing Our lovable, cuss loving, forever young Marnie was in [...]

    16. Satisfying, challenging, infuriating, amusing, annoyingI suppose those words could describe Marnie, the heroine of the Marnie Balanuik Files series She s manic and aggravating, she swears all the time and goes off less than half cocked, she s hard headed and self absorbed, but she means well and does have good intentions Mostly. This was a pivotal book for me as I hadn t made up my mind about Marnie I appreciate an eccentric heroine, like Charley Davidson in the Darynda Jones books, and I can be [...]

    17. Once again, like the others in this series, this book has cracked me up like no other This is by far one of my favorite series just for that reason Marnie is so funny and the commentary that runs thru her mind and out her mouth makes for a laugh out loud story every time I said it before and I ll say it again, the very creative phrases she comes up with are AWESOME i.e Holy crispy crapsicles and Marcel Mo Fo, the world s hunkiest, most jerktastic mime and cock witted jackass and one of my person [...]

    18. I will have to thank Aalto I had no idea that reading about ghosts terrified me until I read this book Zombies Ghouls Vampires excuse me Revenants Excessive Gore Apparently I can handle all that without a single nightmare, but throw in some spooky events and things moving by themselves and I m reduced to Disney cartoons at a high volume in my hotel room.Mild terror aside, it s a great tribute to Aalto s skill as a story teller that I was engaged in the book enough that I was spooked In this inst [...]

    19. This series must be read in order This is the third book in the series After being notified of the suspension of the FBI s Denver branch of the PCU Dr Marnie Baranuk gets a call from a constable in Niagara A young woman has gone missing and had Marnie s card in her purse though they have never met Taking advantage of her forced vacation Marnie travels home to Canada to assist in the investigation while sexy Special Agent Mark Batten takes up residence in her home and vamp sits Little does she kn [...]

    20. Without fail, AJ Aalto delivered a hilarious and intriguing follow up with Last Impressions From the beginning AJ had me laughing at the ridiculousness of Marnie s antics, secretly jotting down her inventive expletives for later use, and glued me to every subsequent page with Marnie in a mission even Marnie didn t think was plausible With a brush of danger, science y stuff I understood without feeling stupid, paranormal elements seen on the small screen and would love to try in real life if only [...]

    21. Warning Although Marnie promises to swear less in this latest installment, foul language, sex, violence, dead things, and hilarity are present in the normal Baranuik amounts These books are NOT for the easily offended Thank goodness I am not one of them because I adore Marnie.I would have posted hysterical status updates, but I was laughing too hard and did not want to stop reading to post Although I missed some of the usual characters, Patrick and the Combat Butler were absolute delights The b [...]

    22. What can I say Aalto never disappoints when she puts pen to paper I absolutely love Marnie She s witty, she has inventive ways to curse and is an utterly ridiculous woman Still, I like her because she isn t flailing around waiting to be rescued She makes clusterfuck worthy mistakes as she solves her cases but in the end she handles business Aalto is one of my favorite authors who can make me laugh to the point of tears I just have to say, there d better be another one Maybe with some kinky Kill [...]

    23. Marnie is one of my favorite characters She is not afraid to make fun of serious situations or herself Her inventive curse words like twatwaffle are especially amusing Since the FBI is investigating her unit, she had time to go home to help solve a murder linked to the supernatural While there, she meets a defrocked exorcist and a ghost who breaks all the rules But her hardest task is visiting her dysfunctional family Things are getting serious and she may not make it A really fun read and an in [...]

    24. I felt really sad towards the end because of what happens but I still absolutely loved this book just as much as the others abd I absolutely cannot wait for the next one I m pretty sure I heard it was in progress and I m too excited for it lol I already wanna jump right into the next one but there isn t one and it makes me sad On another note I have added so many new swears to my vocabulary I laughed to tears at a lot of things in this book just like the others Ah I just cannot wait for the next [...]

    25. I seriously love this series I m NOT a fan of supernatural series, but the gallows humor this author uses makes me laugh until I cry The scenes that really should be the scariest or most gory are really the funniest because of the way the main character handles them Note be cautious of reading late at night because anyone attempting to sleep in the same room as you will not be amused by your spontaneous bursts of laughter

    26. In this installment Marnie is on administrative leave from the PCU pending review of the shenanigans from the second book She heads to her home town in Canada to horn in on a missing persons case that ends up bringing her into the sites of a view spoiler nasty poltergeist and even worse her family hide spoiler Love the snark and the raucous humor I just wish we could move the relationship issues along It s getting old dragging them out like this.

    27. Ok, so I love this book I would totally be friends with Marnie, the main character Not only does she think Vampire is a dirty word, live with a Reverent, swear like a sailor, and is a total smart ass, but she is strong and in control This story is funny, irreverent, and a great mystery.I give this book 5 clouds out of 5.

    28. The third full length story featuring the absolutely lovable anti heroine Marnie Baranuik takes her to Canada to battle an angry poltergeist As in the previous stories in this series the writing is skillful, riveting, funny and the characters are deeply human even the non human ones Can t wait for the next story to come out

    29. Love this series I ve loved this series from the first one, it s fun, flirty, nuts at times but oh so enjoyable I m still impatiently waiting for a Marnie Mark Batten intense love affair, like the bits in the first one though I m pretty sure it s likely to be laugh out loud comedy than anything.I ll definitely buy the next book at some point.

    30. I love this series Prefect blend of laughs and seriousness Marnie s sayings and inventive cussing will be invading my real life for some time Already anticipating the next book Please write faster, yet still perfectly Lol.
