    1. Finally I finished reading this book.As a web designer and developer, must of the information mentioned here are not new But I learned a lot of this book, and I revised a lot of things that I have forgotten by time.I like books with exercises, it enables you to test what you learned in real world projects This book contains a lot of exercises and Test Your Self at the end of each chapter With a pen and a piece of paper, answering these tests means that you are done learning the theoretical part [...]

    2. 3.5 stars This is a great book for beginners and also a good refresher for professionals I particularly liked that it not only teaches HTML CSS but also touches on the tools of the trade.

    3. Clear writing and examples Covers a lot of ground but does it without overwhelming This is a book I ll be referring back to for many years.

    4. Well, looking at the cover I had expected to learn something beautiful, but examples are somewhat early 2000s style And this is book of 2012 Just looked into Bootstrap 1, somewhat also looks ugly just after 4 years I don t believe something can be learned from the books, you need to do something from the start one. With frameworks and some of CSS tweaks you can create exceptionally looking static website or template, don t see the point in reading long books about it as everything can be learnt w [...]

    5. Learning Web Design written by Jennifer Niederst Robbins is book intended for beginners in web design profession On its 600 pages student will be taught about basics of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery but also there can be found some additional information about graphics and their implementation in web design process. The book main quality is the way it s laid out with lot of nice illustrations and different colors most important things are highlighted, examples for each and every thing mentione [...]

    6. Definitely a good book for those beginning with web design It covers all basic technologies HTML, CSS, JavaScript and even some JQuery on an introductory level meaning that it provides just enough depth into each subject to give you a good foundation If you want to know , the author always provides links for further reading at the end of each chapter some of them are dead but nevertheless you can use Google to find the latest information There are also plenty of Test Yourself questions and exerc [...]

    7. I learned HTML in the 90s with a Visual Quickstart Guide, which helps you learn by doing, usually with easy and illustrated step by step exercises I also learned CSS a little bit later in the same way.I took a refresher course recently, and this was the required text While this book does have example exercises and files, it felt like there was far too much explaining and talking, and not enough doing. This may be good for complete beginners who want to know the background, history, and rationale, [...]

    8. The book makes learning web development a bit easier and covers most of the basics of HTML and CSS Chapters about JavaScript were quite vague and didn t show what exactly could be achieved with this tool Some of the things were explained incorrectly maybe because of the urge to make everything simple and understandable by a beginner and some exercises answers were simply wrong I wish there were coding exercises without the answers given in the question, maybe some projects for each of the chapt [...]

    10. Excellent root primer, very breezy delivery for complex device and display strategyGood delivery voice denotes a very logical pitch to share bona fide expertise with audience Not a stitch of ambiguity traversing through a jungle of terms and expressions The author is progressively succinct over a wide modicum of competing concepts Give that girl a star make that five

    11. This was the first book I have read about html and css In my opinion this is a really good book for beginners and its easy understand This book have helped me a lot and I still using it as a reference to my web design work So, generally speaking I recommend it to those who want to start coding in html.

    12. Recently searched for good book to teach HTML5 and CSS This was recommended by a student I knew Very good book Covers all clearly and with good detail and resources Just touches on Jscript not a book for that.

    13. As the title suggests, it is a book for beginners It has been a few years actually since I read it but I can say that it is really good, at least for the audience it is meant for It is easy to read with some humour on the side I plan to have another look at it to refresh my memory.

    14. It got the job done I liked how it had real activities that you could go download and work through I disliked the Javascript section I know it was just supposed to be a brief glimpse into Javascript, but it felt rushed and out of place Same with the Web Graphics part.

    15. If you re looking for a book to teach you the basics of HTML and other web technologies, this is for you It covers all of the important things, with examples It ll give someone who knows nothing about web development the foundation they need to be able to learn.

    16. Very thorough and useful in order to understand what s behind a website and how the internet web graphics work I loved it and would totally recommend it Very well written also.

    17. The most comprehensive beginners guide out there If you have no experience with this material, this is your book Those who have worked with HTML and CSS to a decent length can skip.

    18. 3.5 solid intro book the javascript section is almost confusing than helpful because there just isn t enough there but overall readable and well organized.

    19. Really great textbook Surprisingly funny her silly jokes really keep it a light and interesting read The explanations of concepts are fantastic
