1 thought on “Captain America & Iron Man

    1. This was a really enjoyable book Some similar problems as the Cap Hawkeye book with abysmal writing for the few female characters here but I greatly enjoyed the chemistry between Steve and Tony. This presents the best parts of both characters Steve s sense of duty, can do attitude and protective nature Tony s genius, improvisation and charmMy favorite parts of their relationship are here with their banter and teamwork and they each protect each other quite a bit in this book It reminded me of the [...]

    2. The Cap Namor short WWII team up at the end of the volume was the best part of it for real, but loved a lot finding Batroc always a fan favorite Marvel villain of mine among the villains, the cheesy Tony s Robert Downey Jr style attitude, the armor quickly assembled from scraps gathered at the weapons exhibit and all the Cap Iron Man story. And Tony s Iron Man 2020 nightmare vision was a real touch of genius.Far better than current and last Bendis Gillen awful runs on the character.

    3. Hehe, it s a good comic It reminded me of Stan Lee s work and it was nothing groundbreaking just good old, action fun The Marvel Way I liked it

    4. This was kind of a one shot It wasn t really that different from when CA and IM work together at other times.

    5. I really rather enjoyed this volume In many ways, this is what Marvel comics ought to try going back to The story here is exciting, and hints at a larger world, but it doesn t fundamentally change anything about the characters, and doesn t really need a great deal of reference outside of itself to make sense It s just a story where Captain America and Iron Man go undercover to try to prevent villains from getting a technological threat There are complications along the way, but they are overcome [...]

    6. I ve given up on mainstream superhero comics, but I still have a few graphic novels on the shelf I haven t read, yet This one only convinced me my decision was correct Bunn s writing is pedestrian, and Kitson s art, while it can be very dynamic, is half assed at best, here This was a pointless storyline with pointless splash scenes of combat and nothing remotely approaching characterization I find it incredible that a medium that is founded on action fight scenes, can so completely fail to use t [...]

    7. I am a sucker for Captain America and Iron Man teaming up, and if you are too then you will definitely enjoy this They re attending a weapons expo in Madripoor when all hell breaks loose, and Steve and Tony have to work together to save the day Features a bunch of great banter I can last five minutes on my own, but it won t be as entertaining without you It s nice to feel needed and Tony building himself a hilarious looking suit out of scraps And MODOK Everyone likes MODOK Okay, I like MODOK.My [...]

    8. The Good Tony s Junk Man suit as I have dubbed it.The Bad nothing really bad, just mediocre overallNotes Interesting bits here and there, doesn t feel like a complete story yet hopefully Bunn wraps it up in Cap Black Widow.

    9. slabota A navy e sa stra ne nerada pozer m na Namora druh svetov vojna a on si tam pobehuje len v slipoch To je tak stra ne creepy, e brrr Iron Manove asti boli sk r len tak m preklenut m z Hawkeyea na Black Widow Aspo d fam.

    10. The main section is about as slashy as the title suggests Then there s a bonus bit at the end where a guy from Atlantis fights Nazis nearly naked.

    11. A decent graphic novel which pitches two of Marvel s most opposite super heroes together, but the repetition of old gags keeps this book from being great.

    12. The middle of Bunn s run we see some action with Iron Man as Cap chases down the female corporate head from the first part of this run and tries to figure out why and how she is tied to Hydra.

    13. It was actually the BONUS Captain America and Sub Mariner story that pushed me towards the generous, 2 star it was ok rating over the 1 star didn t like it rating.
