    1 thought on “The Werepuppy

    1. This is the first novel I have ever read Now this book is all torn out and held together by cellophane tape but it s still lives as a sentimental memory for me This is how I got to be a big Jacqueline Wilson fan

    2. After Mickey watches a Werewolf film with his sisters he becomes terrified of dogs This doesn t help his relationship with his father who already thinks he is a wimp and gives he siblings even reason to make fun of him His mother decides he should get a puppy of his own to help him get over his fear Much to everyone s surprise Mickey chooses the biggest and fiercest puppy at the kennel, a werepuppy. This is the first book I have read by Jacqueline Wilson and I can see why she is so highly regard [...]

    3. I loved this book as an child it was one of the books I always took on holiday for an number of years It s perfect for young children 6 10 years old and has humour in it and about over coming fears

    4. 2 Stars from meThere were things that pushed my buttons as I read this aloud to my daughter There s something femme phobic about it I m no great fan of stories in which the reader is supposed to feel sorry for the boy protagonist because he has numerous sisters and no brothers, and every one of the sisters is unlikeable in a stereotypical hyper feminine kind of way Yes, yes, one of the sisters was somewhat redeemed, but only right at the end Bullying is portrayed in a black and white way there a [...]

    5. Nice short story about bullies getting own first pet.Micky is terrified of dogs after watching a werewolf video with his sisters His mum thinks the only way to cure this is to get him his very own puppy He gets Wolfie his very own werepuppy.

    6. A quick read for younger children KS1 , and preferable to my previous experience of Jacqueline Wilson.Anyone who has adopted a dog will see the funny side of the mayhem, loyalty and affection that Wolfie brings to his new family.Remember A dog is for life, not just for Christmas

    7. This book shows a side of being scared of dogs and getting bullied has well After watching a film on werewolves Mickey becomes scared of dogs , glad he found something to help

    8. Actually this book was for kids I want my daughter to read it soon.I just want to learn English
