    1. In between was the third novel I wrote and went through many drafts over many years and was even converted into a film before the novel was finished It was inspired by the film The Crying Game and also numerous so called fin de siecle poets from nineteenth century France I wanted to start from the premise of a terrorist who was really good inside and misguided and portray his struggle to escape his past, but I also wanted a novel that was rich and stylish, written in deliberately obscure languag [...]

    2. Slow burning psychological thriller about a disillusioned terrorist trying to extricate himself from his commitment to the organisation Rich prose with a surplus of similes.
