    1. What a wonderful fairy tale like story Perfectly charming and totally sweet, it spoke to my inner romantic in a way very few stories do Yes, it is almost too perfect to be true, and what happens is totally miraculous, but if you can t have that in a Christmas story when can you Rudy is a lonely exchange student who wants nothing than a family to take care of He misses his parents and younger brothers So when he finds Benji, a homeless guy he s seen working at the coffee shop he frequents, and h [...]

    2. I give this a 4.5 out of 5 stars It s Christmas in Montana, and while most people are preparing for the season with smiles and visions of sugarplums, foreign exchange student Rudy Stroh is feeling sorry for himself Things aren t working out as he d wished He can t afford to go home for the holidays to see his family in far off Austria his brother, who should have joined him in America can t because his grades weren t good enough, and now he has nothing to do but pout and spend his time off from [...]

    3. This review can be found at Brief Encounters ReviewsSome may find this short story a bit on the sugary sweet side, but it happens to hit on a theme that works for me, sugary though it is, that of someone giving assistance to the homeless waif and his sibling s I m a sucker for it every time and this time it s well done and I found it very enjoyable.Rudy is stuck in America for the holidays and he has five weeks to kill before school starts up again He s feeling blue and homesick after speaking w [...]

    4. This review was originally written for The Romance Reviews and can also be found there It s that time of the year again when everything is about family, comfort and warmth It doesn t matter if we celebrate during the holidays, or spend the time alone, relaxing, there is just something in the air that makes you feel the atmosphere deep in your chest This story was one of the perfect examples of what Christmas is about Rudy is missing his family who are in Austria where Christmas for them has alwa [...]

    5. This was a slightly sappy, but generally sweet tale of a lonely Austrian exchange student, Rudy, in Montana at Christmas, who unexpectedly finds himself taking care of a 19 year old young man, Benji, and Benji s 7 year old brother, Tommy They had been living in a tent in the local park, but Rudy talks them into staying at his apartment as a winter storm moves in Rudy is thrilled at the turn of events he came from a big family, he couldn t go home for Christmas, his roommate had moved out just be [...]

    6. This is a lovely short story about Rudy, an Austrian student who cannot go home for Christmas and misses his family By chance he discovers that a favorite waiter from the coffee shop he frequents is living in a tent in the park with his younger brother in the dead of winter with a blizzard coming Because he is lonely and he likes this young man, Benji, he offers him the spare room in his apartment that has been vacated by his roommate who has graduated He is at loose ends for 5 weeks between cla [...]

    7. Reviewed by Max Rudy is a good guy, so naturally what better thing to do than to take a homeless guy and his kid brother into his home when he barely knows either of them, right I know this is fiction and in an ideal world people would exist like this But come on These guys meet and instantly they practically fall in love and Rudy is having them move in right away permanently I know this was supposed to be a feel good story, but I ve seen this storyline written before many times and it never wor [...]

    8. This is one of those stories that just warms your heart and makes you wish it was realistic Rudy finds Benji and his brother Tommy in a tent a few nights before Christmas and does everything in his power to help them He is home sick and has to battle Benji s pride, but he ends up building a little family for a sweet Christmas celebration.

    9. Sugary sweet story about taking chances, giving a helping hand, and building a new life when the one you knew is suddenly gone It s a light read, with a positive message and a happily ever after for the MCs a story in the true spirit of the Christmas season Looking for a break from angst and sex laden books This is a good fit.

    10. Incredibly unreal and fictional but enjoyable nonetheless I did find the prose a little too formal for young men though I can understand Rudy s stiffness with English since it wasn t his natural language but Benji should ve been colloquial and easy going I really liked them More Tommy and Benji Rudy seemed a little weird but I definitely liked the HEA.

    11. This one was just too sweet and unrealistic for me view spoiler 19 year old has custody of his 7 year old brother, living in a tent in the winter, and a foreign exchange student takes them home, and they attracted to each other and all is wello much of a good thing, but I m sure others will like it spoiler hide spoiler

    12. It s a sweet short story Ideal to read when you don t have a lot of time, but you still want to read something with sufficient contents.

    13. This is a very unrealistic story, 100% fairy tale If you like that kind of stories, you are going to love this.

    14. Rudy s away from home and lonely and finding people who need him really makes his holiday And with some Christmas magic this might turn into something really special and lasting.

    15. The story was simple and well written In general it could be described as being dreamy plotted novella with warm Christmas wishes and meanings I liked it
